Question 1: Pets?
Elysia: 2 cats (Cringer - a 3 legged Warrior tabby (aka mama’s boy) and Adora - a polydactyl perpetual face of sadness tabby).
Question 2: What are you obsessed with?
Elysia: Cats, Iron Maiden, Crime/Paranormal documentaries.
Question 3: What motivates you to work hard?
Elysia: Working with a great group of individuals who go the extra mile to advocate for each and every patient no matter what.
Question 4: How would your friends describe you?
Elysia: Funny, caring, resilient, patient and easy to talk to.
Question 5: Favourite thing about your career?
Elysia: After being a technician for nearly 17 years, I absolutely adore mentoring younger technicians so that they become as passionate about this career as I am. I also have a passion for physical rehabilitation, and have nearly completed my certification as a CCRP (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner), at the University of Tennessee.
Question 6: Favourite movie as a child?
Elysia: Labyrinth
Question 7: What would you do if you won the lottery:
Elysia: I would definitely make sure my immediate family, as well as my in-laws were debt free. Give the retirement that my parents deserve. Buy a beautiful land near the water with the love of my life, where we would own a farm. Build a sanctuary for all animals that are in need of rehabilitation, where I would be able to treat.
Question 8: Biggest pet peeve?
Elysia: When people believe that cats are associated with being evil.
Question 9: If you had a warning label, what would yours say?
Elysia: Listening to news talk radio will cause extreme drowsiness.
